Mental Health Awareness Coalition

MISSION:

To educate the public regarding understanding, awareness and acceptance of mental health issues in the general community, while working to reduce stigma and discrimination associated with mental health in adults and children.

MHAC is a 501 C(3) non-profit organization

What We Do

• The Coalition identifies and plans events that will promote mental health awareness and eliminate stigma associated with mental illness.
• Through fundraising, the coalition sponsors the following annual events: 
  • The Candlelight Celebration
  • Art Festival
  • Youth Picnic
  • Youth Poster Contest
• We provide the following two scholarships available for persons living with a mental illness:
  • The Max Dine Scholarship for adults
  • Marilyn Racer Community Education Award for youth
